Lisa Sugar No Mean Girls at POPSUGAR

Lisa Sugar No Mean Girls at POPSUGAR Buckle down, get along is my mantra. I learned it growing up, and now I need my kids to live and inhale it. Nobody merits beneficial things throughout everyday life on the off chance that they cheat to arrive. One thing I knew without a doubt when I turned into the chief (however I detest that word and attempt to never utilize it) is that I never needed to be threatening. I needed to urge individuals to try sincerely and discover their qualities without falling back on alarm strategies. Fortunately, it's working for me: Buckle down, get along has become my general way of thinking throughout everyday life and in work. All things considered, we as a whole knew the mean young lady in secondary school or the bitch in the workplace, however I would not like to play messy with them. I accept that getting along will get you similarly as farâ€"as long as you buckle down. Decent young ladies can be bosses too without being bitches. Peruse Next: How to Keep Toxic Colleagues in Check At the point when I initially began POPSUGAR, my main goal was to make a site that would be a reviving break from all the snarkiness and unpleasantness on the web. Be that as it may, for me, pleasant doesn't mean saccharine or determinedly positive. It can mean being wildly serious (which I'll be the first to concede I am) the length of you carry on reasonably. Nor does decent mean being wiped out sweet or meek (I additionally revile like a mariner). My image of pleasant originates from a position of trustworthiness, supporting others, and being compassionate. Decent is the basic exercise you learn in preschool: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I can't stand any individual who acts like a butt head to airline stewards or servers, who treats individuals as though they are underneath them. I search out companions and representatives who treat everybody with a similar regard. A few people believe it's an issue to be excessively decent, however I oppose this idea. Indeed, in the event that I hear any director at our organization is being self absorbed or political, I give a valiant effort to smash the conduct right away. My main principle when I began the siteâ€"one that our publication group despite everything lives by todayâ€"is to say nothing regarding big names you wouldn't tell them directly. That is likewise a standard I follow throughout everyday life: Never say something regarding somebody you wouldn't need them to catch on the off chance that they startlingly showed up from around a corner. That doesn't mean I'm unscrupulous. I trust it's far more pleasant to be completely forthright, regardless of whether coming clean isn't simple. In the wake of having some truly intense managers in past employments in San Francisco, I knew at an early stage that I needed to be the kind of pioneer who was empowering and not threatening. Indeed, even now, in the event that I ever hear somebody who works at POPSUGAR is terrified of me, I have to make sense of why, and how I can change that. There is essentially no explanation not to be decent or simple to converse with, regardless of whether you're the most junior representative or the chief. You don't need to be startling to be fruitful. Peruse Next: These Are the Most Infuriating Office Personalities My no mean young ladies reasoning stretches out to our office culture. I need to make a sheltered, positive condition where I'd preferably hear what the multi year-olds need to state than cause them to grovel in dread. What's more, being the new child or the most youthful representative shouldn't mean you need to do all the messy work. At POPSUGAR, we have the attitude that everybody should realize how to do a smidgen of everything. Of course, you have to begin by learning the nuts and bolts and train your way up to greater assignments, yet being at the top doesn't mean you are ever above doing a little messy work. That is a piece of trying sincerely and getting along. Lisa Sugar is the originator of PopSugar. This paper is adjusted from her new book, Power Your Happy: Work Hard, Play Nice, and Build Your Dream Life.

What to Do When a Co-worker Loses His Job -The Muse

What to Do When a Co-specialist Loses His Job - The Muse What to Do When a Co-specialist Loses His Job A couple of years back, on an in any case commonplace Wednesday morning, one of my organization's administrators assembled a very late conference. My colleagues and I, the majority of us looking confused, accumulated around a table and learned Lisa (not her genuine name) would never again be working at the organization. While it wasn't actually evident whether Lisa had been terminated or given up, the one thing that was plain as day was that we weren't to tattle about it among ourselves. That was, it appeared, more than everything else, the explanation the gathering had been called. In spite of the fact that we comprehended the thinking behind the guidance, it was troublesome not to express anything at all to each other and essentially approach our day has however nothing had occurred, as if this senior individual, whom the vast majority of us appreciated and esteemed, would be not, at this point a piece of our workday. In any case, so it goes: One day you're working one next to the other with Trevor, messaging him for the numbers you need and giggling with him over the irritating fire drill during perhaps the coldest days of the year-and the following, his work area is spotless, and his seat is vacant. What are you expected to do? How are you expected to respond? Since I battled with consenting 100% with the VP's suggestion that we not hypothesize about it, I chose to connect with Melody Godfred, Muse Coach and organizer of Write in Color, for her master guidance on the best way to deal with an associate's excusal expertly, yet in addition like a genuine, live human with emotions. Despite the fact that it might feel normal to examine what's happened when an associate loses his employment, Godfred recommends reminding yourself where your essential duty lies: with your boss. She proceeds to state that the best activity is abstain from taking part in any theorizing, tattling, or general discussion, and that goes for both openly and secretly. It ought to abandon saying that speaking smack about your boss regardless of whether your work spouse got canned-is less than ideal. Not exclusively would it be able to risk your activity, however it could make a harmful culture that restrains your own development and the organization's too. And, I'm certain in your hurried indignation, saying that someone or other should've gotten terminated rather isn't something you'd ever need to return and frequent you. As Godfred brings up, Culture is a major trendy expression at the present time, and however it very well may be over-stressed, it has genuine significance in a circumstance like this where the vibe at work is nearly as imperative to your joy as the work that you're doing. In the event that you murder that vibe by being negative and reviling your own manager, all you're achieving is making yourself and your associates hopeless, and even possibly convincing your approach to get terminated. All things considered, it's about difficult to proceed as typical when this happens to a colleague when you don't have the foggiest idea about all the subtleties and when you truly loved the person. It's not insane to think about whether you will be the close to vanish. Your brain, definitely reeling, begins to scrutinize your own security or deficiency in that department. Perhaps you even start scrutinizing your exhibition. Is it conceivable that your activity is on the line and you have no clue? Or on the other hand, in case you're sure that your supervisor has no bad things to say about your work, you wonder: Is this the principal indication of greater lay-offs to come? Whether or not you're worried about getting terminated for execution or laid off because of organization spending cuts or office restructurings, it won't help you a lot to let the uneasiness arrive at record extents. Rather, plan a straight to the point discussion with your chief and talk truly about your interests. On the off chance that starting a blunt discussion on the ongoing worker's terminating or lay off feels terrifying, at that point have a go at working it delicately into the discussion, possibly causing a little joke on the off chance that you to have a simple and open relationship with your chief. You may state, I was extremely sorry to learn about [Name of person]'s takeoff. I don't hope to know all the subtleties, yet… trust I'm not straightaway! Odds are, your supervisor will settle your feelings of dread at that moment. Or on the other hand, the discussion may wind up being an open door for you to get significant input on ways you could develop yourself to abstain from getting terminated, yet to place yourself in the running for an advancement or a raise. When you've had any feelings of dread about your own activity misfortune subdued, realize that you don't need to up and disregard what occurred and cover yourself in your assignments. You should feel at freedom to contact the individual who lost their employment, yet Godfred doesn't suggest remarking explicitly on the circumstance. Instead of saying, 'It sucks that they did this to you,' you can say 'I'll miss you at the workplace.' On the off chance that the individual was a companion, obviously you can and should keep on being a companion to [him or her], particularly on the grounds that odds are they need a companion like never before during this troublesome time.Godfred's recommendation is right on the money. Despite the fact that I'm not liable of abusing my organization, a more shrewd me would have stayed much progressively mum, for the wellbeing of my own. In this way, offer a shoulder or an ear, and let your buddy realize he's missed, however abstain from saying whatever you wouldn't be open to having the CEO get wind of. Indeed, you may think you know the entire story, however once in a while is that the case with these muddled issues. What's more, if other collaborators attempt to connect with you in tattle and inconsequential gab, shut it down. You're not helping the individual who lost his employment by discussing him despite his good faith. You're just affecting future issues and, as Godfred stated, risking your own position. Truly, this is difficult, however lamentably it's one that will likely back its head a couple of times all through your vocation. Figuring out how to deal with it currently will just assistance you later on.

Associations with a key HR work run studies on their representatives to comprehend the degree of engagement at the organization. Positively, different things are estimated, however without effectively connected with, spurred, and energized representatives, is their actually an organization by any means? Other than the well known PC Load Letter scene, the underneath cut from Office Space is my top pick. Not on the grounds that its loaded with silly laughs, yet on the grounds that it just hits spot on with how a separated representative feels. Mike Judge, executive of Office Space, takes it out of the recreation center. Watch this short clasp (just shy of 4 minutes), and afterward go down to the base for a brisk audit: All in all, how would we realize Peter is withdrawn? That is simple. He comes directly out and admits to coming in late, and scattering for a few hours every day. Yet, the most flawlessly awesome statement is when Peter clarifies that while he has a dread of losing his employment, that dread will just make somebody buckle down enough to not get terminated. Gracious Mike Judge, you are so significant! Would you be able to envision what number of todays laborers simply do whatever they can just keep their activity? With the activity advertise the manner in which it is, representatives acknowledge they essentially need to simply suck it up, and do the insignificant measure of work required just to get by. What a bad dream. In any case, holding tight like that does in the long run get saw by the business. Anyway, what is the businesses strategy? Ideally, they decide to have an open discussion with the representative, which can prompt a goals. For this situation, the business turns into a saint, basically utilizing words. What lamentably happens regularly is alerts are terminated out at the worker and nothing changes, in the long run prompting an end. All in all, what would it be advisable for you to do on the off chance that you are unmotivated, and withdrawn at work? Dont be timid. Have a discussion with your chief investigate a prompt goals, if there is one. Search for a position inside in a region that energizes you. Converse with somebody in HR, or enrolling about what might be opening and what you could be equipped for. Give a valiant effort to perform over the insignificant level. Dress Like a Boss from Home  Whether you occasionally work from home or have a full-time career in your living room, we recommend a selection of outfits to choose from. It’s important that you’re feeling comfortable when working at your desk, while always being ready to run out for errands if needs be. Comfortable Overalls  Ditch the thought of overalls only being appropriate for construction workers. Women can also rock overalls, and if you opt for ones mainly made of cotton, then they’re comfortable to wear all day long. Cotton allows your skin to breathe and prevents you from sweating. Plus, it’s more comfortable than wool and synthetic fibers. Overalls are perfect for sitting behind your desk, but if you need to head out, simply throw on a pair of sneakers or boots, and you’re good to go. Faux-Denim Jeans with a Cute T-Shirt  This combination is perfect if you have a busy day with meetings, collecting your children from school, and a day of working from home. Jeans can be dressed up and down, and they look good with almost anything. However, denim isn’t a comfortable material for sitting down in all day. Switch, denim for faux denim, so you still look the part but feel comfortable enough to move around freely. Finish the look with a cute band t-shirt if you have to go grocery shopping or are meeting a friend for coffee, for example. Alternatively, you can shop for a plan tee here, and smarten the look by  combining it with a smart blazer.  Sweatshirt with Leggings  You can’t beat a pair of leggings for lounging around the house or for getting jobs done. They’re an ideal choice if you have a busy day of work planned but need to head to the gym later. Swap your slippers for your sneakers, and you can be out of the door in minutes. This outfit is a favored fashionable look if you work from home, because you can comfortably move around while still looking stylish if you go outside of the house to empty the trash or take your dog for a walk. Still stuck for fashion ideas if you work from home? Make sure your fashion fits in with your lifestyle and plans. You want to remain comfortable indoors but ready to answer the door without looking like you haven’t even got changed in three days. Fashion can make you feel the part, and help to keep your appearance practical.

How to work at home successfully

How to work at home successfully We have been snowed in for three days. At first, it was just a hint of being snowed in, people stopping and talking in the grocery store. Not that I would know. Because the farmer told me I should probably go buy extra food in case were snowed in and I ignored him. Melissa and I were too busy scheming, figuring out how we can do a business together. Finding a good idea for a business takes a lot of thinking, and arguing, and diagramming failed ideas on big sheets of paper. Then it started snowing. A lot. At first it was fun. School got out early so the farm kids could get home before the roads were unpassable. Unpassable spellchecks as not-a-word, and my editor hates that, but I swear thats what they call snowed-in roads in the country. The blizzard was fun. I tucked in my goats and then my kids and then Melissa, who is from Texas, needed extra layers and long underwear to sleep. I told myself it was okay that I was getting no work done. Some days are like that. All days cannot be equally productive. And anyway, Im an ENTJ, so Im happy as long as Im taking charge of somethingstarting a company, running a familyso as long as people follow my goal, Im just fine. When we woke up, the blistering wind made the house feel cozy warm. I showed the kids how to build obstacle courses through their bedroom and we invented recipes for cookies that sometimes came out right. We baked and baked until we ran out of the sprinkles. Then I started sneaking glances through my in-box between movies that I warned the kids were too gruesome to watch. But that was before it was a snow day. The farmer does not take snow days well. He is an ISTP, which means hes great with a snow plow and most other machinery and he almost never calls for help. So I knew the snow drifts were really high when the farmer had to wait for some other guy who has a bigger plow to come clear the snow. Another thing about an ISTP: they crave action-oriented tasks. So the farmer spent a lot of time outside, walking through the cold, longing for the more regular rhythms of the farm. The next day there was no snow falling, but the snow piles were six feet high. Melissa is an INTJ. She needs to build systems to improve stuff, but its hard to be organized with stir-crazy boys, freezing animals, and a too-soon depleted pantry. But, proving that all personality types find their true-to-self way of working from home, Melissa spent the day calling airlines, switching tickets, telling agents that a snowstorm is a reason for a refund. And when she finished with her own tickets, she started rearranging for her friends. Finally, the snowplow guy arrived and transformed the barren landscape to a winter playground. And while youd expect me to take my kids outside with me, I cant think unless I have alone time. Its my favorite part of working from home, in fact. That I can be alone whenever I want. Except on a snow day. One of the most important requirements for a successful home office is staying stimulatedmaking sure we experience new things all the time. So I slipped outside without a word to the kids, and tested the terrain.

Five of the Best Mothers Little Helpers - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

Five of the Best Mothers Little Helpers - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career In honor of Mothers Day. This post is a reminder of the things we learned from our mothers. Some are big and some are little, but they are things we can take away as Mothers Little Helpers. As I wrote this I thought of a lot of things I learned from my mother and worked to pare it down to a more consumable list of five Mothers Little Helpers. Fan Fact: Remember all those things you thought you learned in kindergarten? Guess what? You probably already learned them from your mother. Kindergarten just reinforced them! Your mom (or mother figures) helped you before you even knew you needed help. As we grow up we too often find ourselves flashing back to those suggestions, comments and lamentations. I can tell you from experience that when we have kids … we find ourselves repeating those same things. Much to our chagrin. This post is  in honor of your mother and all the mother figures in your life. Thank them! Today and every day. Mothers Little Helpers Whats the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your mother? Hopefully it is something positive and memorable. I took an informal and crowd sourced survey on Facebook the other day. And, in addition to some of the things that I thought of I am going to include some of the comments that came back from others. If you see any similarities to something you said or something that comes to mind when you think of your mom … Thank your mother! Here are Five Mothers Little Helpers with my interpretation what she may have meant. Feel free to add your best Mothers Little Helpers in the comments. #1 Write Thank You Notes Even if you dont get in the habit of writing thank you notes, get in the habit of expressing your gratitude. Let people know specifically why you are thankful and what you are grateful for receiving. Even if it’s just a compliment. #2 Be Punctual There is an old saying in sales that also applies to Mothers Little Helpers  â€œIf you aren’t 10 minutes early, you are late!” I wrote about this here and I’m quite sure my mom helped me realize the value of timeliness. It doesn’t always stick, but it is something to strive for. #3 Stand up straight / Sit up straight First impressions are lasting impressions (hey, theres another one right there!). And, it is true with the way someone sees you for the first time or even the 101st time. Carry yourself with pride and look people in the eyes when you talk to them (Hey, there’s another one). #4 Wash Behind Your Ears I think this means everything from literally washing behind your years to paying attention to details that you cant always see. A few of these are oriented to how people may perceive you. The intent of these Mothers Little Helpers is not to change the way people perceive you, but to help you realize that the way you present yourself is also a reflection upon you. #5 Above all else … Follow the Golden Rule Which is as simple as: Treat others as you expect to be treated yourself. What did you learn from your mother? What do you find yourself repeating that your mother said? What do you wish you wouldve followed more closely? What advice would you like to get back to your mother? Add your thoughts here in the comments  so we all can learn what you learned from your mother. As mentioned at the beginning this is in honor of your mother and also in honor of your mother figures. Some people have very broad maternal relations and some have almost none. Hopefully you had someone as a mother figure to guide you, lead you, and show you the way. Now, go hug your mom or your mother figure and let them know how much you appreciate everything theyve done for you.

Writing a Resume in React

Writing a Resume in ReactThe process of writing a resume in React is the same as it is for writing a resume in any other programming language. You just need to know how to create a simple one page resume in React. Once you have created a single page resume, the rest of the job becomes much easier. When you know the basics, then you can focus on what to do in order to make the resume look a little more professional.First of all, if you want to make your resume look like a professional looking one in React, then you need to make sure that it has the correct format. A resume in React needs to be organized and formatted in a certain way. The layout of your resume has to match that of the job listing you are applying for. Of course, the job listing will also have to match that of the company you are applying for. So, you need to take some time to decide which layout will be best for your specific job. Most people end up creating free resume templates in order to help them figure out how to create a perfect resume. But, these templates can be very inefficient. If you are going to create your own template, then you should be able to modify it to make it look more professional. Take the example of a web designer. A template that says something like 'Work Experience: < 12 months' will look out of place for a web designer. There are two ways to create a resume in React. You can either go with an automated solution or manually. An automated solution consists of doing it using a program that automates the entire process for you. This kind of system is usually geared towards college students and technical workers. It will allow you to learn how to write a resume in React but it will not do anything else for you. Now, if you want to make a simple resume in React, then you can use a manual method. You can get the manual version by purchasing a book on the subject or by attending a class. Manual resume creation is a little bit more complicated but it will still work for most peop le.You will need to create two pages. On the first page, you will list your highest and lowest positions that you have held. The second page will contain information about your education and training. This part is very important because you need to include all of the information that is relevant to the position that you are applying for.Do not forget to include your contact information in bold. It should also be bold with the same font as the resume. You also need to include the mailing address and telephone number. These are all very important things for most people. They don't want to waste their time in creating a resume that has no relevance to the job that they are applying for.If you are not a professional programmer, you should still try to create a simple resume in React. Remember that there are professionals who can take the place of a programmer. If you want to be as professional as possible, then you should be willing to do this kind of work on your own.

The In-Office Holiday Party Dress

The In-Office Holiday Party Dress The In-Office Holiday Party Dress || Maison Jules Dress Review Holiday Party, How To Wear, Office fashion, Work Outfit December 8, 2016 0 Comments  Dress: Maison Jules Windowpane Dress  (I ordered size medium but probably needed a small) Boots: Room of Fashion via AmazonLast week we talked about what to wear for the off-site kind of holiday party that’s more formal and dressy. I featured the Morning Lavender Lynette dress that has since come back in stock! Check it out before they run out again!!Now, there is the other type of company holiday party that happens during a normal work day. For these  parties that happen in the office, perhaps a lunch gathering or a late afternoon happy hour, the dress code is usually a lot more laid back and casual. So for these occasions, Maison Jules is actually a great choice! I’ve only recently gotten to know this brand but they’ve been around for a long time, and as far as I can tell, are sold exclusively at Macy’s. They make a lot of work-appropriate, stylish, and demure pieces that are perfect for th e holiday season. For example, this windowpane fit-and-flare dress: I was planning on adding a leopard print belt to this outfit, but accidentally left it out of the photo shoot. I think this look would’ve been more complete that way..Along the same lines, because this is a more low-key dress, I paired it with my new over-the-knee boots from Amazon (only $39…what??) to add some color and a focal point. They turned out to be surprisingly slimming, these vegan suede OTK boots, which was a total surprise! Here are a few other pieces from Maison Jules that I’ve been eyeing. They would all make awesome in-office holiday parties, with a few colorful accents like the red scarf on the right. What are you wearing to your holiday party, in office or out of the office??By the way, if this dress looks familiar to you… you may have seen it on Jean from Extra Petite. YES…. she totally sold me on this dress!! Who else follows her? Have you Googled Yourself Today

Have you Googled Yourself Today I just finished reading Career Distinction by William Arruda and Kirsten Dixon. The authors stress the importance of proactively and continuously building professional credibility, visibility, personality, and professional style to build and nurture your personal brand. This strategy is one of the most important components of an effective career management strategy. Arruda and Dixon speculate that in the future, employers will be actively looking for candidates with greater frequency than candidates will be looking for employers. Therefore a strong on-line presence will be key to a candidates future job search success. One of the best ways to assess the strength of your current brand is to monitor your on-line identity via a regular Google search. Arruda and Dixon recommend Googling yourself every Monday morning to stay on top of your identity metrics. Keep track of the number of times your full name (enclosed in quotes) is listed and the relevancy of each listing. If you have no Goog le presence or if you share your name with others, dont despair. Its never too late to start building your own unique on-line brand. Check out tools such as Zoom Info, Ziggs, and Naymz to get started. Everyone will need at least 15 minutes of fame (or at least three relevant pages on Google) to compete for jobs successfully in the 21st century.Posted by Barbara Safani

Polishing Your Résumé Part II - Hallie Crawford

Polishing Your Résumé Part II Is your résumé the best it can be? Need to start over from scratch? Use these insightful tips to create a winning résumé. (if you missed Part I, you can read it here) Résumé writing can be intimidating. We wonder, what do I include, what do I leave out? How do I make it look nice? In what order do I need to list everything? Some of the most common concerns I hear from my career coaching clients are about how to organize their résumé and what pieces of information to include. Here are some tips that can help you get started on either creating your résumé from scratch or updating it for your next job search. Keep it Concise and Easy to Read: Enough said. You don’t want to send a potential employer a novel. You want the hiring manager to be able to scan your résumé with ease. Keep it short while highlighting why you’re the best person for the job. The typical recommended length is one page for an entry-level position, and two pages for a position requiring more experience. Include a Cover Letter: Always include a cover letter with your résumé, unless the person doing the hiring specifies not to. This demonstrates your communication skills, shows you are interested in the job because you’re taking time to write the letter, and it can highlight those items you really want them to notice on your résumé. If your writing skills are not great, I highly recommend working with a professional résumé writer for help. Show Your Personality: Give the potential employer a sense of who you are as a person outside of work. What’s unique or different about you? Where do you spend your time outside of work? Include outside activities and organizations that you are involved inâ€"it helps you stand out in the crowd, or in the pile of résumés, in this case. Emphasize Contributions, Not Duties: Résumés should always highlight what you contributed or accomplished at a job, as opposed to duties or responsibilities. This is another area where people tend to struggle. They want to merely list their job description. Don’t do thisâ€"explain how you contributed to that organization. Use action verbs and highlight those accomplishments that are relevant to the position you are applying for. Be Proud: Make sure you feel proud of your résumé. It will show in the interview. If you’re pleased with it, that will come across. Your résumé is representative of youâ€"make sure it’s something you’re proud of. If you need help with a resume or cover letter, consider a resume/cover letter session. Heres to having a career you love! Resume Help www.halliecrawford.com

4 Resume Tips To Prove Youre The Perfect Fit For The Position - Work It Daily

4 Resume Tips To Prove You’re The Perfect Fit For The Position - Work It Daily So How Do I Do That? Showing an employer you’re the best fit for the job may be one of the most vital resume writing strategies to your job search success. I hear from job seekers every day who express their concern about whether their resumes may be lacking somethingâ€"or they know it’s too general. The truth is they’re right. Companies aren’t looking for generalists; they’re looking for specialists! Think about the last time you hired someone to provide a service for you. Did you hire someone who knew nothing about accounting and tax law to prepare your tax return? Or did you hire a tax preparation expert? Employers are searching for the perfect fitâ€"and knowing you’re the best person for the job isn’t enough. You have to show the employer. Related: 2016 Resume Trends â€" The New, The Now What You Must Know So How Do I Do That? You can use multiple means to validate fit on your resumeâ€"from how you craft your branding statement, to which accomplishments you choose to share and the way you write them. Here are four different ways that you can prove that you’re the perfect fit for the role. Find The Right Company Start by finding the right company for you. You’ll have to know who you want to work for if you’re going to research how you fit into the company. This comes naturally for some; those people already know the exact company they want to work for, or at least the size of the company or industry. Some of you need to take some time and do some soul searching, giving it considerable thought. Once you have your short list, start doing your research. Conducting Research Okay, so you have a list of companies you’re interested in, so let’s dive in. This informative article shares 6 Ways To Learn A Company’s Culture. The ideas in the article will help you to discover if a company and its culture are the best fit for you. Once you have your answer, and your research, you’ll know how you fit into the company and what you can offer it. Use Examples Great, our research is done; we know who we want to work for and why. By now, you should also know the company’s bleeding need or biggest pain pointâ€"and you’ve probably already figured out how you’re the solution! Craft a personal branding statement around this information, using examples of how you’ve resolved the same problems for another company and how you positively impacted your client or employer. You can do this multiple times in your resume using different examples with different positions in your career history. Give Them Proof We know you need to give examples of your fit on your resumeâ€"and another great way to prove you’re the best fit is by using visually engaging images. Create charts, graphs, or flow charts that support what you’re telling the employerâ€"and then use them on your resume. (You could even create and utilize an infographic resumeâ€"one of 2016’s top resume trends!) Images are a powerful means of communicating information; they’re more easily recalled than content, they elicit emotions, and tend to stick with us much longer. You could even incorporate the company’s colors in your visuals depending on how creative you want to be. A successful resume (and cover letter for that matter) will prove you’re the best fit for the company and the position. Show the employer that you’re the right person for their culture, the department, and the positionâ€"and that YOU are the solution to their biggest problem. Struggling to write your own resume?
