How to Pick the Best MBA Colleges

How to Pick the Best MBA Colleges Home career How to Pick the Best MBA CollegescareerHow to Pick the Best MBA CollegesBy Amit Kumar - November 2, 201701640Facebook Believe it or not, education has gone the commercial way in the last few decades. A good number of MBA colleges have mushroomed all over the country while leaving the aspirants confused about which is the best MBA college from the long list. Furthermore, every MBA college is making every possible effort to showcase the plus points of their institute to gain admissions. So, what should be the judging criteria? Apart from the course, aspirants need to keep various other factors in mind before choosing an MBA college. To make this task easy for you, here we have listed the things that will let you have a basic check while selecting from the best MBA colleges available.  Check Your Suitability Contents hide 1 Check Your Suitability 2 Check the Credibility 3 Check the Faculty 4 Check the Placement History 5 Check the Infrastructure and Campus 6 Are There Any Extra-Curricular Activities? 7 To Sum It Up! Every MBA college has a different criterion for admission and checking whether you qualify for it or not should be the first step. Most of the MBA colleges accept the score of various competitive examinations like GMAT, GRE, and CAT and have their own cut-off. Make a list of colleges that will accept your rank and score to ease out the process. Once you have a filtered list in hand, select the one out of them basis the pointers mentioned below. Check the Credibility As stated earlier, some MBA colleges have entered the education world only a few years back. So, the next step that you need to follow is to check the credibility of all the colleges you have filtered out. To make the most of your degree, you need to get into the best college that assures a bright future. From checking the placement history to the reputation of the college in the industry, you should do it all before stepping further. Check the FacultyAny colle ge with an excellent board of faculty members should be picked when planning to have a degree in MBA. Usually, most of the top colleges have a section on their official website that gives a detailed history of the faculty members onboard. You should pay utmost attention to the background of the faculty members, as in the end, they are the ones who will hold the thread of your success. Top MBA colleges like BML Munjal University have an excellent panel of faculty members who have years of expertise in the field and are associated with the college for a long time. Check the Placement HistoryOne of the most vital things to check in an MBA college is the placement record. Because most of the colleges today boost about 100% placement, it becomes difficult to find out the credibility. To get a reality check, connect with the alumni and existing students to know how true the showcased information is. Remember, no one else other than the students can give you a clear idea about the reputati on and placement record of any college.Check the Infrastructure and CampusPick the college that has an amazing infrastructure and a huge campus with ample space that helps you learn and explore more. A poorly designed and unkept campus may lead to demotivation while resulting in poor grades. So, make sure you keep the infrastructure and campus as well in mind while choosing from the best MBA colleges. Are There Any Extra-Curricular Activities? It’s true that ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. So, make sure you inquire if the college puts emphasis on extra-curricular activities that help in the personal development of individuals. The balance between extra-curricular activities and academics should always be well-maintained to promote growth. To Sum It Up!Judging the available colleges on these parameters will surely help you pick the best of the lot. So, make sure your decision is backed by research for a better and brighter future. All the best!TAGSMBA Colleges

Fashion Ideas For Working From Home

Fashion Ideas For Working From Home Working from home doesn’t carry a fashion discipline like an office job does, but you can still be adventurous with your clothes. Fashion has a huge influence on our confidence, comfort, and aspirations. If you wear bright clothes, you tend to feel uplifted. If you wear restrictive clothing, you’ll have less movement and feel less motivated. Here are some fashion ideas if you work from home â€" all of which have comfort and style in mind. Dress Like a Boss from Home  Whether you occasionally work from home or have a full-time career in your living room, we recommend a selection of outfits to choose from. It’s important that you’re feeling comfortable when working at your desk, while always being ready to run out for errands if needs be. Comfortable Overalls  Ditch the thought of overalls only being appropriate for construction workers. Women can also rock overalls, and if you opt for ones mainly made of cotton, then they’re comfortable to wear all day long. Cotton allows your skin to breathe and prevents you from sweating. Plus, it’s more comfortable than wool and synthetic fibers. Overalls are perfect for sitting behind your desk, but if you need to head out, simply throw on a pair of sneakers or boots, and you’re good to go. Faux-Denim Jeans with a Cute T-Shirt  This combination is perfect if you have a busy day with meetings, collecting your children from school, and a day of working from home. Jeans can be dressed up and down, and they look good with almost anything. However, denim isn’t a comfortable material for sitting down in all day. Switch, denim for faux denim, so you still look the part but feel comfortable enough to move around freely. Finish the look with a cute band t-shirt if you have to go grocery shopping or are meeting a friend for coffee, for example. Alternatively, you can shop for a plan tee here, and smarten the look by  combining it with a smart blazer.  Sweatshirt with Leggings  You can’t beat a pair of leggings for lounging around the house or for getting jobs done. They’re an ideal choice if you have a busy day of work planned but need to head to the gym later. Swap your slippers for your sneakers, and you can be out of the door in minutes. This outfit is a favored fashionable look if you work from home, because you can comfortably move around while still looking stylish if you go outside of the house to empty the trash or take your dog for a walk. Still stuck for fashion ideas if you work from home? Make sure your fashion fits in with your lifestyle and plans. You want to remain comfortable indoors but ready to answer the door without looking like you haven’t even got changed in three days. Fashion can make you feel the part, and help to keep your appearance practical.

How to work at home successfully

How to work at home successfully We have been snowed in for three days. At first, it was just a hint of being snowed in, people stopping and talking in the grocery store. Not that I would know. Because the farmer told me I should probably go buy extra food in case were snowed in and I ignored him. Melissa and I were too busy scheming, figuring out how we can do a business together. Finding a good idea for a business takes a lot of thinking, and arguing, and diagramming failed ideas on big sheets of paper. Then it started snowing. A lot. At first it was fun. School got out early so the farm kids could get home before the roads were unpassable. Unpassable spellchecks as not-a-word, and my editor hates that, but I swear thats what they call snowed-in roads in the country. The blizzard was fun. I tucked in my goats and then my kids and then Melissa, who is from Texas, needed extra layers and long underwear to sleep. I told myself it was okay that I was getting no work done. Some days are like that. All days cannot be equally productive. And anyway, Im an ENTJ, so Im happy as long as Im taking charge of somethingstarting a company, running a familyso as long as people follow my goal, Im just fine. When we woke up, the blistering wind made the house feel cozy warm. I showed the kids how to build obstacle courses through their bedroom and we invented recipes for cookies that sometimes came out right. We baked and baked until we ran out of the sprinkles. Then I started sneaking glances through my in-box between movies that I warned the kids were too gruesome to watch. But that was before it was a snow day. The farmer does not take snow days well. He is an ISTP, which means hes great with a snow plow and most other machinery and he almost never calls for help. So I knew the snow drifts were really high when the farmer had to wait for some other guy who has a bigger plow to come clear the snow. Another thing about an ISTP: they crave action-oriented tasks. So the farmer spent a lot of time outside, walking through the cold, longing for the more regular rhythms of the farm. The next day there was no snow falling, but the snow piles were six feet high. Melissa is an INTJ. She needs to build systems to improve stuff, but its hard to be organized with stir-crazy boys, freezing animals, and a too-soon depleted pantry. But, proving that all personality types find their true-to-self way of working from home, Melissa spent the day calling airlines, switching tickets, telling agents that a snowstorm is a reason for a refund. And when she finished with her own tickets, she started rearranging for her friends. Finally, the snowplow guy arrived and transformed the barren landscape to a winter playground. And while youd expect me to take my kids outside with me, I cant think unless I have alone time. Its my favorite part of working from home, in fact. That I can be alone whenever I want. Except on a snow day. One of the most important requirements for a successful home office is staying stimulatedmaking sure we experience new things all the time. So I slipped outside without a word to the kids, and tested the terrain.

Five of the Best Mothers Little Helpers - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

Five of the Best Mothers Little Helpers - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career In honor of Mothers Day. This post is a reminder of the things we learned from our mothers. Some are big and some are little, but they are things we can take away as Mothers Little Helpers. As I wrote this I thought of a lot of things I learned from my mother and worked to pare it down to a more consumable list of five Mothers Little Helpers. Fan Fact: Remember all those things you thought you learned in kindergarten? Guess what? You probably already learned them from your mother. Kindergarten just reinforced them! Your mom (or mother figures) helped you before you even knew you needed help. As we grow up we too often find ourselves flashing back to those suggestions, comments and lamentations. I can tell you from experience that when we have kids … we find ourselves repeating those same things. Much to our chagrin. This post is  in honor of your mother and all the mother figures in your life. Thank them! Today and every day. Mothers Little Helpers Whats the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your mother? Hopefully it is something positive and memorable. I took an informal and crowd sourced survey on Facebook the other day. And, in addition to some of the things that I thought of I am going to include some of the comments that came back from others. If you see any similarities to something you said or something that comes to mind when you think of your mom … Thank your mother! Here are Five Mothers Little Helpers with my interpretation what she may have meant. Feel free to add your best Mothers Little Helpers in the comments. #1 Write Thank You Notes Even if you dont get in the habit of writing thank you notes, get in the habit of expressing your gratitude. Let people know specifically why you are thankful and what you are grateful for receiving. Even if it’s just a compliment. #2 Be Punctual There is an old saying in sales that also applies to Mothers Little Helpers  â€œIf you aren’t 10 minutes early, you are late!” I wrote about this here and I’m quite sure my mom helped me realize the value of timeliness. It doesn’t always stick, but it is something to strive for. #3 Stand up straight / Sit up straight First impressions are lasting impressions (hey, theres another one right there!). And, it is true with the way someone sees you for the first time or even the 101st time. Carry yourself with pride and look people in the eyes when you talk to them (Hey, there’s another one). #4 Wash Behind Your Ears I think this means everything from literally washing behind your years to paying attention to details that you cant always see. A few of these are oriented to how people may perceive you. The intent of these Mothers Little Helpers is not to change the way people perceive you, but to help you realize that the way you present yourself is also a reflection upon you. #5 Above all else … Follow the Golden Rule Which is as simple as: Treat others as you expect to be treated yourself. What did you learn from your mother? What do you find yourself repeating that your mother said? What do you wish you wouldve followed more closely? What advice would you like to get back to your mother? Add your thoughts here in the comments  so we all can learn what you learned from your mother. As mentioned at the beginning this is in honor of your mother and also in honor of your mother figures. Some people have very broad maternal relations and some have almost none. Hopefully you had someone as a mother figure to guide you, lead you, and show you the way. Now, go hug your mom or your mother figure and let them know how much you appreciate everything theyve done for you.

Writing a Resume in React

Writing a Resume in ReactThe process of writing a resume in React is the same as it is for writing a resume in any other programming language. You just need to know how to create a simple one page resume in React. Once you have created a single page resume, the rest of the job becomes much easier. When you know the basics, then you can focus on what to do in order to make the resume look a little more professional.First of all, if you want to make your resume look like a professional looking one in React, then you need to make sure that it has the correct format. A resume in React needs to be organized and formatted in a certain way. The layout of your resume has to match that of the job listing you are applying for. Of course, the job listing will also have to match that of the company you are applying for. So, you need to take some time to decide which layout will be best for your specific job. Most people end up creating free resume templates in order to help them figure out how to create a perfect resume. But, these templates can be very inefficient. If you are going to create your own template, then you should be able to modify it to make it look more professional. Take the example of a web designer. A template that says something like 'Work Experience: < 12 months' will look out of place for a web designer. There are two ways to create a resume in React. You can either go with an automated solution or manually. An automated solution consists of doing it using a program that automates the entire process for you. This kind of system is usually geared towards college students and technical workers. It will allow you to learn how to write a resume in React but it will not do anything else for you. Now, if you want to make a simple resume in React, then you can use a manual method. You can get the manual version by purchasing a book on the subject or by attending a class. Manual resume creation is a little bit more complicated but it will still work for most peop le.You will need to create two pages. On the first page, you will list your highest and lowest positions that you have held. The second page will contain information about your education and training. This part is very important because you need to include all of the information that is relevant to the position that you are applying for.Do not forget to include your contact information in bold. It should also be bold with the same font as the resume. You also need to include the mailing address and telephone number. These are all very important things for most people. They don't want to waste their time in creating a resume that has no relevance to the job that they are applying for.If you are not a professional programmer, you should still try to create a simple resume in React. Remember that there are professionals who can take the place of a programmer. If you want to be as professional as possible, then you should be willing to do this kind of work on your own.

The In-Office Holiday Party Dress

The In-Office Holiday Party Dress The In-Office Holiday Party Dress || Maison Jules Dress Review Holiday Party, How To Wear, Office fashion, Work Outfit December 8, 2016 0 Comments  Dress: Maison Jules Windowpane Dress  (I ordered size medium but probably needed a small) Boots: Room of Fashion via AmazonLast week we talked about what to wear for the off-site kind of holiday party that’s more formal and dressy. I featured the Morning Lavender Lynette dress that has since come back in stock! Check it out before they run out again!!Now, there is the other type of company holiday party that happens during a normal work day. For these  parties that happen in the office, perhaps a lunch gathering or a late afternoon happy hour, the dress code is usually a lot more laid back and casual. So for these occasions, Maison Jules is actually a great choice! I’ve only recently gotten to know this brand but they’ve been around for a long time, and as far as I can tell, are sold exclusively at Macy’s. They make a lot of work-appropriate, stylish, and demure pieces that are perfect for th e holiday season. For example, this windowpane fit-and-flare dress: I was planning on adding a leopard print belt to this outfit, but accidentally left it out of the photo shoot. I think this look would’ve been more complete that way..Along the same lines, because this is a more low-key dress, I paired it with my new over-the-knee boots from Amazon (only $39…what??) to add some color and a focal point. They turned out to be surprisingly slimming, these vegan suede OTK boots, which was a total surprise! Here are a few other pieces from Maison Jules that I’ve been eyeing. They would all make awesome in-office holiday parties, with a few colorful accents like the red scarf on the right. What are you wearing to your holiday party, in office or out of the office??By the way, if this dress looks familiar to you… you may have seen it on Jean from Extra Petite. YES…. she totally sold me on this dress!! Who else follows her? Have you Googled Yourself Today

Have you Googled Yourself Today I just finished reading Career Distinction by William Arruda and Kirsten Dixon. The authors stress the importance of proactively and continuously building professional credibility, visibility, personality, and professional style to build and nurture your personal brand. This strategy is one of the most important components of an effective career management strategy. Arruda and Dixon speculate that in the future, employers will be actively looking for candidates with greater frequency than candidates will be looking for employers. Therefore a strong on-line presence will be key to a candidates future job search success. One of the best ways to assess the strength of your current brand is to monitor your on-line identity via a regular Google search. Arruda and Dixon recommend Googling yourself every Monday morning to stay on top of your identity metrics. Keep track of the number of times your full name (enclosed in quotes) is listed and the relevancy of each listing. If you have no Goog le presence or if you share your name with others, dont despair. Its never too late to start building your own unique on-line brand. Check out tools such as Zoom Info, Ziggs, and Naymz to get started. Everyone will need at least 15 minutes of fame (or at least three relevant pages on Google) to compete for jobs successfully in the 21st century.Posted by Barbara Safani
